Wheel Well Liner

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what paint I could use to re-paint my Wheel Well Liners. They have faded to a light black now and I want to spruce them up. Can I just use spray paint for plastic? Or will that chip off fast? I've though about trying the spray paint you use for spraying your bed of your truck but I'm not sure how it will hold.

get some roll on bedliner and use that. paint isn't going to hold up against gravel and whatever other shit flies up there. or you could just lower the car more and you would never see them! haha

If your spraying the plastic liners themselves, I would use something like plastic krylon paint or something along those lines. Should hold up for a while. OR if you want to go the really good route, use a heat gun and re-heat the plastic and it will look brand new again!

u will need some type of adhesion promoter no matter what u use in less it has it already built in or paint will not stick to the plastic very well but i would go with the bed liner it will last the longest

you guys do know he is talking about re-coating the LINER.. and not the inside of the wheel wells correct? Or at least it appears that way to me. Which leads me to think.. WHY would you want to line the plastic liner with rhino liner? Thats going to add a TON of weird to the car.. and also probably lead to rubbing on your tires, etc. If you want to go back to OEM look.. heat gun FTW.

Bed liner wont stick to the slick plastic of the fender liners, you can just pressure wash them clean and give them a nice coat of some tire shine/oil to restore the shine :-D

buy a plastic trim restorer from an auto parts store or whatever... pretty sure there is no paint that will stay attached to a fender liner, they are way to flexible.

or just buy some new ones....

New ones from the dealer are like 57$. I can't even see my fender liners. My solution for you is h&r springs!

Love it! Besides who needs fender liner when your slammed and got snow rubbing them clean :-D

This is EXACTLY why ive said the word HEAT GUN.. like a million times in this thread. Trust me.. it will make them look BRAND NEW and you won't spend a damn penny. Okay.. maybe you will, if you don't have a heat gun or know anyone you can borrow one from.

Why the hell does a dealership need to rattle can the liners? All the dealerships I'v seen just power wash and shampoo the crud right off.

we would do it as a cust service thing, customers would come in an get details and what not and we would just throw on a layer of paint to freshin it up. waste of time in my eyes, but some people were anal about it

Well getting some H&R springs would solve it quiet easily, but the shipping to Canada is just crazy, plus I'm not an expert in installing them. Now, if someone lived near the Seattle area and could help me I would definitely give them a little money for helping me out.

For right now I'll get some tire polish and spray it in and see how it turns out.

Im telling you.. heat gun. Fix all your problems. Polish will keep it nice looking for about a week. Heat gun will 'melt' it back into looking new. Not melt it.. like puddle of plastic melt.. but give it a nice new appearance once again. Look on youtube for videos of people using heat guns to make their black trim look nice again. I've done it several times on many different cars and it works great!
