I swear there is no love for wagons in portland. Nothing but a bunch of kids who talk ish thinking their 89 VW is legit. Seriously people. Why do other people gotta hate on a car just cuz its a wagon. My wagon is fresh, its clean, and it is probably quicker then half these kids rides. Seriously, almost got into it with some kid talkin trash about my ride not realizing i was standing right there. If you dont got something nice to say, then shut it. I understand these cats feel better about there piles by talking about other peoples, but honestly, alot more time and care has gone into my whip then there ebay special parts and zip tied connections.

yeah, there is just no respect in oregon for any subaru other then sti and wrx. Even my 92 leg with 04 wrx swap pushin 280 got knocked down even tho it was tougher then most wrx and some sti's. i wish i could afford a wrx swap in the car, but all the shops say its at least 4k to do

hey i am 22 and since i was 16 i wanted a subaru wagon mainly a old dl with the 4hi/lo range. well last year i got my outback wagon, and have not gotten it stuck yet, and i am not planning to get stuck. at least last winter a girl who bought a neon and had it for a day and got stuck and i pushed her up a hill in the snow with my outback.

Kids like the ones you are talking about talk crap all the time, and their priorities about what makes something good or cool are completely screwed up. If I compare the daily practicality of my Legacy, even with all its mods, compared to my friends STI, there is no comparison, my Legacy is WAY better for daily driving, and to me, that makes it a better car for me. To me, my Legacy is BETTER than an STI for my purposes. But it doesn't turn heads like the STI does, although I have gotten a lot of positive comments.

Point of this post---who cares what they think? A bunch of kid's opinions are so totally worthless on the grand scheme of things, its not worth getting worked up over.

BTW, with as many Outbacks and other non-turbo Subarus as there are driving around here, I think it is pretty inaccurate to say that the only Subarus that get any respect are the WRX and STI. Maybe the other Subarus aren't highly respected amongst the teenagers, but again, who cares? These kids will (hopefully) learn what is truely important with time.

Oh I love my car. Lol. I love subarus and always have. But web I was in the Honda scene( in highschool) I had the nices car in town. I sorta got used to bein the op dog. And my wagon, I feel deserves the respect it needs. Mainly cuz it's nicer ten half the other cars that show up. I just wish there were more wagons driving around town that weren't drivin by old ladies lol. Cuz in my town, wagons are shopping cart pushers rides

Its funny you mentioned the Vdub scene. I hung out with a group of "Whooops" (no offense of course) who evolved from Civics to Cavaliers to Golf's/Jetta's.

Every time I brought my Outback to the "meets" just to shoot the shit they would always rip on me. So after a bit of offroading and smoking an old 16valve they shut there mouth and a few of them bought wagons :-D Some of them even went old school and bought Volvo tanks :-D

People just don't understand.. even when i had my sedan I never gave the wagon a chance unless I had to move things.. Then I got one and I will never go sedan for a daily driver again.

Just to sweeten the pot I would go with a Saabaru 9-2x if power/wagon was available to me. Most people don't even relies that the 9-2X is a Subaru and when you burst their bubble they tend to stop talking shit and respect what they don't know.

But really when you think of the bigger picture the same goes with the Impreza guys. Oh you have a Legacy.. is it turbo.. No.. pppfffffftttt! See ya..

Its very irratating since most of these Un-Imprezzifs are all for boost and never go with handling. My old BD smoked half of the haters out there through turns/pylons/off ramps. But noooooo.. Its the 1.2.3.. I am going to damn fast in a straight line that people care about.
