I was able to score a factory power antenna mast from a 1997 Legacy LSi Sedan. I got my broken one out of the car no problems.
What is the easiest way to get the teeth on the mast to engage the gear in the assembly?
I tried to feed it in to the assembly with the antenna motor in the "up" position. But I couldnt get it to engage when the car would turn off. I can hear the motor moving like it wants to retract the antenna but I cant get the first couple teeth to catch.
Is there a trick to this that doesnt require me to pull out the assembly and pry it open?
