Wheel-well liner fits funny, what's up?

So I just threw a couple new liners in after losing mine on the highway (lol) but the drivers side has an odd fit, what do you guys think?

Sorry about the crappy pic, iPhone camera and it's sunny out. Basically there's this weird hole as if something is supposed to fit there, but that hole isn't on the passenger side (and I took these liners off the same junked leggy). Also, the driver side liner has a tendency to slip off the metal lip it goes over. /rant

Has your car been in an accident, mine has and the side it hit messed up your wheel well liner just like that. Mine stayed like that for 20k+!

Yeah I bought it salvage. It's not a problem except for dirt gets in there in the summer and mag chloride in the winter. I guess that's not open to the engine though huh?
