How do you take off the entire rear view mirror. harness at all.

Pop the plastic cover that the mount attaches to at the ceiling. That reveals the bolts/screws holding it there.

bad news is replacing one of these in a 99 SUS 30th Anniv Ed. is $75 through a dealer.
There's not a reputable scrap yard for three states... Gotta luv the back'rds Confederate States of Dixie. *mumble grumble mumble grumble*
