I remember a while ago I saw on here someone had changed the splash screen for their GPS and told how to do it. Since the search function has been of no help on this does anyone know how to do this? I am using a garmin nuvi 205w, I thought it would be as easy as connecting it to my computer and changing a file but I couldn't figure anything out.

Resize the picture to whatever resolution your unit is. Download the image to your SD card and goto the settings menu and set it from there.. Or if your to lazy..

1. Select 'System', to enter the system setting menu;
2. Choose 'Display', then select 'Change...' for 'Splash Screen';
3. Select picture from unit internal storage or Memory Card;
4. Wait for reading picture, and wait for 3 sec after picture displaying, then choose 'yes' to confirm to change opening logo.
5. Restart your unit, then you find the logo changed.
