gr-2'sand sti springs?

Can I use gr-2s made for my 97 legacy and put 04 sti springs on? Or even 02-07 WRX springs?

I would say that the suspension would be under dampened with the sti springs, as they are pretty stiff. It would make the car bouncy. WRX springs would probably be fine, since they are pretty soft.

This is for OE springs, not aftermarket. Too much variation in aftermarket spring rates to answer that question otherwise.

I am thinking OEM wrx springs. I ordered the GR-2's for my Legacy tonight. Can I use my Legacy top hats or will I need the wrx top hats for the wrx springs?

Where is this sticky? I know that complete 02-07 wrx stuff will fit, I am looking to use kyb gr-2's made for my legacy, part numbers 334111, 334112, 334115, 334116. Then use the springs from an 02 wrx. I don't want to drop my car very much, like 1" max. Otherwise I would go the easy route and use h&r's made for my legacy. I dont see a sticky about this, if there is and I dont see it then I must be stupid and need a link.

For the life i couldnt find a ser local so i picked up a set of 04 wrx struts springs and hats.
