So My LGT has a 5MT swap in it. The car runs rough and I get horrible gas mileage. I am throwing a code, P1722. From what I have found this means that the TCU is unplugged and the EDU is trying to get info from the TCU. I know that I need to ground out pin 81 on the ECU to make the ECU think it is a MT and doesn't need to gather info from the TCU.
Today I pulled back the carpet and pulled the ECU out and tried to find pin 81. I found out that pin 81 on an auto car has no wire, while the manual version has one that is grounded.
My problem is where the &(^%$*^ is pin 81!!!
If anyone has a picture or a detailed location (ex. over 5 down 1 from the left) I would be so happy. There is nothing online about where this pin 81 is located on the plug. My plug has numbers for the first 28 then I don't know where they go from there. If I keep counting starting on the next row and end up at pin 81 on the third row, there is a yellow/black wire there, which is not grounded.
If anyone in the portland area wants to come over and help me I will buy you dinner or something, no joke! I need to pass emissions because I leave for WI next week.
