Q - rear seat removal - legacy L wagon

does anyone know how to remove the rear seat in a legacy wagon?

it smells like something died under there (a mouse?) and i want to clean it out....

you don't need to remove the seats to clean out underneath.
the bottom cushion has hinges on the front to allow it to lift up so you can lay the seat backs. completely flat.
there is a string like pull lever in the middle to unlatch the bench cushion.
reach in next to the center lap belt, but more to the center of the seat and feel around you'll find it.
