found this while looking at intercoolers. looks like a cool idea. siliconetintakes.com is an awsome website.

waste of money.
the airspeed through that pipe will be very fast, giving very little time to transferr any heat.
also it have very little internal surface area (being a pipe) so there is little chance of it actually transferring any hear from the air to the pipe walls.
i suggest it would do more harm than good and soak more heat into the pipework as there will be very little airflow over it.

spend your $30 on a switch and a couple of good brass nozzles from the hardware store
rig them up to your washer bottle and rear washer motor to give you a cheap TMIC water-spray setup.
install a hobbs-switch for automatic activation above a certain PSi.
much more effective

It's simple thermo-dynamics (i studied thermal and Fluid engineering for a couple of years)

you have hot air passing through a flat walled tube with very little surface area at a high velocity.
you will get NO appreciable heat transfer from the air to the tube.

there is also NO cold airflow over the exterior fins of the pipe, so the fins will heat up from the radiant heat in the engine bay.

your best option given you're running FMIC anyway is to wrap all your cooler piping in reflective, insualtion material

Yeah those things will do next to nothing to cool the air charge. That's what intercoolers are for.
