Anyone know the part number for this line? long story short awhile back i flushed my A/C lines but this line was on so tight that the metal started to deform before it finally came off in which now it's not good anymore it connects to the evap but that line might need replacing as well.. I thought I saw someplace like $90 for both lines :-/

I know what it is.. it's a A/C line that runs from the evaporator to the dryer.

I rather find someone who is parting out a car first then to pay $92 for it.

Part number for the pipe is 73052AA380 and the o-rings for it are 73039AA060. Subaruparts.com has them listed for $38.06 and $0.70 respectively.

The part was listed as the liquid tank to evaporator pipe. Liquid tank would be a rough translation for the accumulator (#3).

Still a lot of money for that little pipe, but better than $90 :)

And the pipe that it screws into that goes to the evaporator is 73550AC010 right?

If so $105.48 not bad but still pricey given how small it is.. I guess I will take care of this next week

Now if the system wont cool after I fix the leak (never cooled when I got the car) then the compressor is shot

That isn't necessarly true. There are other things it could be.

Also, when you go to recharge the system, have a shop do it. The correct way to do it is to draw the system down to a vacuum and let it sit there for 30min or so (gets out all the air and moisture) before recharging. If you just try to force in refrigerant along with the air, it probably won't work at all, or very poorly. Should be able to have the system serviced for $100 or less. My shop does it for $50 + refrigerant.
