Hi All,

Just bot a 92 legacy wagon AWD. She slips, (rpms race), between 2nd and 3rd for a second or 2 b-4 a solid engaging, when driving normal. Driving her hard with peddle down, she shifts great. (Pressure problem?) After warm-up, checked the fluid which appears brand new and full, (actually a tad over). Someone suggested a tranny "flush" as there could be crap in the valve body, etc. Any help/experience on this would be greatly appreciated!

THANKS ! ! !

Thanks for the "sea foam trans tune" idea. I'm not familiar with it. Have you personally had any success with this stuff, (with the problem I'm having), or know anyone who has, and is this a product that should be flushed out once it's done it's "magic"?

Thanks Again

i would change filter, flush, change filter again. then use trans ture with some good fluid. also if you get chattering or tq bind while turning use some tranx slip ad.

There is a band that is used for engaging 3rd gear. If it is out of adjustment, it will cause it to take too long to engage. There is a procedure for adjusting it, if you have a Haynes manual, it is in there.

Very cool, and thanks. Guess it's time for a little book work!
