Went out with The Long Island Subaru Club last night. As the snow started to stick we started drifting. Had lots of fun even though I couldn't really power slide.

I was waiting to see some footage of your wagon in sideways action. I don't believe you when you say you couldn't get it to light up the tires. I drift in my wagon in the snow any chance I get. But, its only snowed a few times this entire year. I imagine march we'll get dumped on, thats the way it usually goes.

Same, we haven't gotten much, but I drift all the time.

Oh, and the EVO in that video kinda sucked...it didn't do much of anything.

dam tough crowd. :sad3: The reason my wagon wasnt in the footage was because the camera was frozen out of focus during my run.
So i was edited out. :(
I can drift it with the ebrake but no power slides like the STi.

The Evo in which video? There are two Videos.

BTW Evos suck anyway :smt072

The second video was pretty cool. On the first, towards the end, is some insane yellow light coming from the background. Is that a car or a building light?

That yellow light must have been someone using amber headlights, like in the GT race cars.

That's no excuse, you just lock it down into D2 and it's 50/50.

Yesterday our carpark wasn't plowed and I managed to get most of the snow into my wheel spokes - which then melted, and then froze.

I forgot about this before I got on the highway, and I had MAD wheel balance issues - almost like the car was riding on an oval wheel. Had to pull over and kick the ice off the inside wheels.

I thought maybe I'd messed up the alignment arms when I slid into the snowbank under a tree earlier. Could have been expensive!

I had the exact same thing on monday, scared the crap outta me. I also had a wierd rattling sound under my shifter.. I was starting to imagine stuff that broke.

I can powerslide easily in my leggy. Must be the 5MT :D I do powerslides all the time, and people think I'm pulling my ebrake....I'm like,"did you see my rear wheels lockup?! I thought not :D"

yeah, I don't like Evos that much...its impressive, but I wouldn't want to DD it...the Evo in the first Video, btw.

On the topic of noises and rattles: My car developed more shakes and rattles during this storm than ever. I also finally realized the downside to lowering my car: My wheel wells fill up with snow extra quick now!

Same here. There are flood warnings and watches for the entire Ohio Valley. Its rediculous. I have been driving the Miata over the past few days, enjoying the new LSD in the rain. Today I decided to bring out the Legacy in case I had to ford any rivers on the way to work ;)
