I need to know how much /what kind of fluid to put in, and does it just lock on the spline, or is the a certain way it goes on??
Thanks for any help

What we did, since we used the torque converter from my LGT, we drained the old tranny fluid put some new in and swished it around and drained that also. Filled it up with most of the way with frash tranny fluid and installed. To install you have to slide it in with the sleeve and turn it to get it into place.

yup, just rinse with clean fluid, throw some more in there, not to much so it pours out when you install, grease up your trans seal, and put it on, spin, and gently push, keep spinning and pushing, etc. cause you will be cursing yourself if you go to put it in and the TQ converter isnt all the way seated.

The TC uses the same fluid the transmission use, which is Dexron in our case. If it is bone dry, you can dump in 1qt and that will be plenty to lubricate it while the trans pump fills it up when you start the car. Adding any more than that just makes it heavier and easier to spill stuff out.
