I'd like to ask you guys this question, if that stuff is OK for my ride?

After seeing this thread (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?t=1870)I decided I must get rid of my WRX muffler  It sounds really good but must go.

I'm planning a custom exhaust with Borla headers but now I'd like to test some new muffler. And I like those twin outlets.

What do you think?

You'd have to know the diameter of the opening on your bumper if you want a stockish look, or have the muffler mounted at a slight angle (JDM styleeee).

Any of those cans will "work" but there's no telling how they'll sound on your car, and each of them will require fitment of hangers and flanges.

I've heard very good things about this muffler from impreza owners. I would have gotten one, but it wouldn't fit in my cut out, and didn't think it would look right under my car. Supposedly its a quieter glass pack (because of the dual outlets) but has good build quality.

If you haven't seen it, here's the thread on my OBX muffler:

Thanks for advice.

I've seen your thread Plays_with_Toys and like the sound, but don't like the single tip.

Are those $40 cans low quality junk? I gotta pay only for shipping $40-50 bucks, but it's a deal, since what we get here are some $300+ fame brand "hi end" mufflers, which I don't need in non-sports car.

I wouldn't pay $40-50 shipping on a $40 muffler. At that price you'd be better off getting something guaranteed to be T304 Stainless.

I'd pay $50 shipping on a >$20 muffler.

Its the same company that made mine, so you can see the weld quality and such there. A few impreza owners on NASIOC have bought that exact muffler and said the quality was on par with magnaflow. Because the air is channeled through two tips, it quiets it down a bit.

All the OBX mufflers I see go for about $45. I bought mine for $47.
