Hello everyone. So i decided to change things up a bit and added this nice 2005 Subaru ForesterXT to my garage. I bought it with 67k milees and the dealership replaced the turbo, TMIX, wheels, brakes, rotors, pads and is currently getting a full detail. Im hoping this car exceeds my expectations and is a fun ride. Current mods are:

WRX Intercooler
TurboXS B.O.V
ZeroSport Radiator Shroud

As you can see, havnt really done much as i have only had this for a week and was on vacation for 4 of those days. Im excited to be back and looking forward to doing some mods on this thing. Future mods are:

Full Tint

05 STI Suspension or something that drops me to STI height
Some nicer Rims, maybe Gold BBS
Brembo brakes if they fit from the 05 STI, not sure

Anyone with suggestions, let me know what you think.

Nice man way to switch it up! I think that forester will do good as a daily for you. I am looking for one for my mom as we speak.

Fozzies are baller. Congrats on the new acquisition!

ya, i would kill for an sti setup. the sti fozzie are sexyness. However, i have heard that its a pain in the booty to do the body work. gotta gut fenders, cut bumpers, replace this install that lol. I think imma keep it sleeper and just mod for performance. i do plan on lowering it a bit. Its a completely different ride then my wagon, and i feel like im driving a tank compared to riding slammeed in my wagon

Got the windows tinted the other day. Legal 50% in the front and 30% all around, suprisingly the 2-tone tint turned out rather nicely

oh ya, and i took the roof rack off, cant stant roof racks, feel like i should be hauling golf clubs or something, plus i like the clean, sleak look better

Nice car. Problem with your poll: 05+ STI's use a different bolt pattern, both on their wheels and also on their front struts. So without changing the hub and spindles (and dealing with custom axles if you keep the fozzy tranny), you'll need 04 STI wheels, or any year WRX ones (unless you go for BREMBOS, then check with the list on nasioc for fitment: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=448097 )

The brembo brakes are a different story, all the GD body style brembos are bolt ons for the front, the rears you need a bracket (or swap the rear hub/spindle from an 06-07 WRX) for it to work.

looks nice, i will go with the gold!, PSM plus gold is how it goes

ya, i reealized after i submitted the poll that they wouldnt work, just never got around to taking off the 05 portion lol. Im still deciding if i want to go with the brembos. Car is currently not working however. flashed a po304 code and come to find out my 02 sensor in the rear is malfunctioning and im running like -92% fuel or something. so its at the shop getting fixed at the moment.

^^ I think Brembos are too much hassle when 4-pots can fit under some 15x7 wheels - perfect for snow tires, and still look great under 17's. And then unless you have outstanding summer tires, you won't be able to reap any of the benefits Brembos provide. But they do look so hawt. ;)

New Tranny: $2400 dollars
New Injectors: $ 300 bucks
New Pistons: $ 600 bones
Finding out Warrenty covered the bill, priceless.

Excited, picking up the fozz after being at CARR Subaru for the past 2 weeks, everything is dialeed in and cant wait to take her for some drives around the mountains

well, picked up the fozz, drove it off the lot, no boost. torque steer, tranny shake. stupid warrenty people sent the dealer a non turbo tranny. So, instead of waiting 2 weeks for the car to be done, im thinking of just getting a different one. Maybe 05 lgt, or 09 impreza. idk, suggestions?

By the time you find the right car they would of fixed the Fozzy! I would not let the dealer get away with it and have them supply a temporary car for you in the mean time (even though you don't need it). Ask them for a 2011 Sti rental!

well they got a clean 09 impreza wrx for 18k as weell as an 05 outback xt for 16 im debating if its worth just getting a new car because apparently the fozz is cursed lol. Not to mention i have my first car payment next week for a car ive only had for about 1 week
