Hey all,
I think I registered here a while back when I had my RWD legacy turbo but IDK if I ever actually introduced .

anyway, I am back here as I was planning on completing a WRX build that I was doing but unfortunately the body work turned into more time and money than I wanted to spend. During this timeframe my buddy ( whom you all know as Sybir ) lent me his wagon for a little bit and I got the wagon bug BAD. So long story short, sold my wrx shell, bought an outback. I am hardly new to the subaru deal , I have had a TON of them in the past, still have a built bugeye ( hybrid , 6mt etc ) .

so anyway on with some pics,

Bought the outback for 1500 , has a slightly slipping clutch but no big :

Took it home and since I have a ton of stuff set aside for the wrx build I got to work, wheels and Cusco 02R's on :

Had to get a pic with the world famous hooptywagon:

and a couple other vehicles of mine that may or may not have been seen around the web,
first the track toy ( full prepped caged etc track only )

and my 2nd rwd turbo car, sybir owned this for a bit:

so future plans on the outback are:

Sti interior ish ( figuring out what to do about the rear seat and carpet ) [/*:m:5yesnche]
proper drop , IE swap over to the newer crossmembers and get the geometry right in the suspension by removing all the damn spacers for the outback height[/*:m:5yesnche]
Install all my adjustable control arms, sway bars blah blah[/*:m:5yesnche]
Full STI trans/brakes/hubs/rear diff etc[/*:m:5yesnche]
Install my hybrid engine, built ej25 bottom ( all forged ) ported heads cams etc etc etc , shootin for 450 ft/lbs atw[/*:m:5yesnche]
All the damn little exterior stuff, morettes are on the way from them directly, hope to have them in a week or two, but all the other goodies[/*:m:5yesnche]

hopefully everything goes rather quick as I have all the parts sitting and waiting to go in.
anyway just wanted to say hi

Evil twin? :)
You're already half-way there.

BTW, don't bother with the body spacers until you have your drive-line in, as you'll be tearing everything out anyway. Might as well make a weekend of it. While you're under there, see if you can plonk a alloy driveshaft in with your STi tranny & rear diff etc.

I was planning on doing that all at the same time , so rip the rear x-member out and drop everything new in as a unit. I have the OEM sti driveshaft as is so ill probably run that as long as I dont run into a length issue, if I do I may do a single piece alum or MMC driveshaft.

56k is the modems we used to use through the phone line. back in the 1400's. before electricity met the cell phone, and when water still had to be chopped down up hill both ways in the snow...on fire. ? :smt017 i remember b4 the internet. it was nice lol

You could have just said "It's the standard dial up internet connection speed"

i supposed then we would have to explain what dial up is/was ........ I used to only get 21.6k for years....couldn't do anything on the internet without a book or magazine in your lap.

The six speed is the same length as the automatic, so get the driveshaft from an auto legacy your generation. If you are using the r180 you might have to swap the pinion flange as well. Car looks great, you guys are tempting me to mod my outback. :P

Morettes were 550 shipped new but it was a pain. I need to upload some pics but trans swap is done brembos are on, working on wiring for the engine swap and buttoning up some exterior pieces.
