i just moved into Midtown sacramento CA

anyone know of any meets, clubs, weekly/monthly gatherings?

i know there are at least 100 subis living within 5 blocks of me

and if there isnt anything lets get together and make a gather night or whatever.

anyone have any ideas or thoughts on that ? let me know

A number of the RS25 guys have carried on with the Davis meet I set up a few years back, although it's usually earlier in the year. But either way, there are quite a few Subie folk out in the Sac area that are down for meets.

Two parks that are good for BBQing are Hagen Oaks in Rancho Cordova and Johnson Springview in Rocklin.

I know its a long shot but does anyone here know of anyone who lives out in the sticks or has a piece of bare land that they wouldnt mind us mudding up???

lets meet at a park for a bbq or something then do a mountain ride. maybe hwy 49 ? idk just throwin out a windy road. perhaps up by jackson ? make a day out of it.

I am in!!!! I work nearly nonstop though but I will make time once we all agree on something.

I am in Roseville. Maidu park is a pretty nice location... We could also do a cruise up/down 49 or I happen to know a couple of twisty roads that are up 80 that are pretty fun. These roads are not county or state maintained and lead to powerhouses on rivers. The one that I really really like is Haul Rd. in Colfax Ca.

There are no homes off of it what so ever...

At the end of this road it comes out to a huge area that used to be a riverbed. There is a powerhouse located just up the stream that has emptied what used to be a nice size river and now is a much smaller one. It is river rock that is fun to drive through and has plenty of room for a lot of cars to safely move around. Not too slushy or deep. Just perfect. And really wide open.


I was instructed to go here by chp when I was looking for a safe place to shoot off a few rounds out of various guns of mine. There was one sitting on an overpass at the colfax exit so I just pulled up and asked him if he knew of a good place to shoot. That was about 6 years ago and I have been back about 15 times... all the way up to about 3 months ago. I have only seen someone else out there once and it was a truck that had brought two guys and a motorcycle out to mess around.

If anyone wants to take a quick ride out there to check it out... I would be more than happy to go out there. We could even take a nice little video so others would know what to expect.

Yea I have another road that is just as cool. It is up by gold run. Same exact thing but not nearly as much room to play around at the end of the road. That particular road (the one by gold run) is cool in its own way because it is literally cut into the side of a good sized canyon/ridge. No gaurdrails and VERY steep drops... although it is perfectly paved.

I pm'd you but let me know when you are down and we will make the trip to colfax... this will be your new favorite secret spot... guaranteed.

i live out side chico work at a firehouse in marysville so ill cruse down for a meet if im off,

but after the super bowl my weekends are going to be open!
