Well. 24 ppl viewed before anyone said anything lol. And no. The light output isn't altered at all. The side markers arent as clear during the day because I blacked out the chrome colored cup they sit in. All I painted was the headlight insert and snap out the little gay reflector that was in there (just glued in with barley a drop at the top and bottom, simple screw driver did the trick)

That's the piece I removed and painted black

I'm anal so I used a whole can of primer and black paint to do both. I was unsure on just using a metal paint and I didn't have the fusion paint they make for plastic. So I opt for flat black bumper paint. Came out perfect except for one minor run in a corner bit it's not noticeable with the head light reassembled.

This is what the insert looks like reinserted in the lense

Did you decide to get back into a Legacy (I know you said Outback) again? I thought you sold the 01 GT for a WRX???

That i did and sold the WRX... My knee is really bad for 14 years of baseball and the clutch was killing me(got a Auto now) not to mention the $$$$ for parts, a tune every time if you change anything, and just wasn't as classy/nice as a Outback/Legacy. I sold the WRX for 8k, sold my Wheels for $1400 seperate and sold the JDM Headlights for $800 seperate too, picked up the Outback for $6000 1 owner and looks to be off the showroom floor!!!! I like the Unleaded fill ups, fully loaded leather interior and every option possible, and not to mention less of them modified on the roads. So yeah i really do Love my Legacy/Outback and miss them! These Outback headlights are actually going into the oven for baking and painting in 20min. :smt023

Nice, well I imagine you are kicking yourself a bit for getting rid of the 01 GT... You did quite a bit to it. Do you have a new member's ride up yet?
