WHats up guys!
I have a 2001 Subaru Legacy Gt Limited, and I just finished repairing some body work and doing a break job on my car. when I finished putting it back together I took it for a test drive to test the breaks. and every time started in first gear and made a turn my car would make a clicking noise, but as soon as I get to a certain speed It would stop right about the time I changed gears. it sounds like something could be rubbing, but it doesnt look like anything is. Any Ideas?

How are you sure its not the CV joint?

Is this only happening when you make a turn or whenever you start off in first gear?

well there is no damage or tear to the cv boots. cv joints only make noise when the boot tears and all the grease comes out.

and yes It only makes the noise when I start off in first gear and make a turn.

The brake dust shield (behind the hub and sits flush with the backside of the rotor) can sometimes bend toward the rotor and contact it as the wheel turns. You can just bend it back from the hub a little, or if you're feeling more adventurous you can just cut it off. Not recommended if you encounter dusty or stony roads though.

^exactly what he said:) all i did was get a long screwdriver and bend it back off the rotor where it was slightly catching and rubbing... i had two guys tell me it was my cv (which it sounded like) but that fixed it
