The code is po183 temp sensor i think. Anyone know for sure and which one they are talking about?

I also have the o2 code. I think it was po141, is it the front sensor?

po183 is a fuel temp sensor. po141 is after the cat o2

Shit, so I found out why the o2 has a problem, it broke off and is rattling around inside my second cat now. Also am having a problem with the fuel level unit.... 2 peices that are recomended to change if either one goes, $115 a pop. But I'll wait on that because I'll do a walbro fuel pump while I'm in there. So looks like the cats are coming off today and changing out the o2. Does anyone know which sensor is bank 1 sensor 2?? I cant find my haynes manual, think it walked off on me.

bank 1 sensor 2 is the rear one

Yup, bank 1 sensor 2 is the rear o2. In these cars, you only have 1 bank.

So turns out its not broken inside, it was the heat shield rattling, i thought I had removed it already. I have two o2 sensors in the first cat (original with car) and a 3rd in the 2nd cat (replaced from another car). They are in there good, so im going to wire up the 3rd cat and hope the code goes away.

Does anyone know if it will screw up the readings from the 2nd it reading after 1 cat, but now 2?

I think thats a bad idea. You should probably test the rear O2 with a multi meter before splicing in a 3rd sensor when there isnt a requirement for one.

No, there will still only be two. Just as if the 2nd o2 moved back past the 2nd cat

the phase2 imprezas' rear o2 is behind the 2nd cat. I don't see how it'd hurt

that would be the second O2 sensor that just monitors the cat's efficiency. Had that light on for over a year when I was catless / HFC
