im having an issue with my "temperature" setting. even if the switch/lever is slid all the way in the "cold" setting. the vents still blows really HOOOOOOOOOT air out. i know its cable actuated and ive taken out the hvac controls to replace the bulbs. but ive put everything back the way they are suppose to...unless it got loose inside.

any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Do you feel any resistance on the cable/lever when it's slid over? I've had that happen once before, I hooked the cable up wrong when reinstalling.

Mine for some reason will not go back to warm also. I have to reach over where the cable goes into the box by the passenger side and push the lever open. Try by manualy pulling the lever. If you need a pic I will get one for you.

All you have to do is follow the cable down to the bottom right passenger side. I guarantee when you hooked it back up you created some kind of slack in the cable.

You could have broken the mount for the cable on the HVAC control unit itself. The outside sleeve part should be mounted and the actuator pulls on the cable inside the sleeve. It's plastic and easy to break...

How do you fix the slack? I am having the opposite problem the op is having.

The lever on the HVAC control unit has to be set the same as the lever on the lower box down by the passenger, so if it's all the way left, make sure the other one is all the way left.

I'm doing this from memory, so I may not have all the details down pat.
