Timing belt types

Hello all,
I am about to buy a 1998 legacy l wagon and I was planning on doing the timing belt service (the car is at 137k) since it is past the 105k recommended service interval.
I came from owning an impreza and I am aware of the phase I and II 2.2l engines.

The question I have is:
Are the timing belt and water pump the same part for the phase I and II blocks? or are they different?
