Does anyone know where I can find some cheap front and rear strut bars for my car? I looked on ebay and I couldnt find any. Seems like some of you have cusco for the front and rear but I couldnt find them either. Well any help would be great thanks.

I believe that's because most of the ones you're looking at, are for WRX/Impreza fitment.

For example:

I can't help you on that. :smt102

But you could always check out the Impreza filled boards (ie. RS25.com and the NastySoc) Hope this helps.

Hold up - mr_g has a sedan, my car is a wagon. The rear strut brace is a little different in a sedan.

You should read through the MR1 threads, look for a particularly stunning RED Legacy GT sedan with gold BBS wheels. ;)

There is a piece of metal a bracket or some sort that sits on top of the front passenger strut tower thats welded onto the chassis I wanted to know what this is and what does it do? I have my front strut bar and I think I can make it fit if I switch it around backwards but I have a problem that metal piece is in the way of me bolting it down on top of the passenger strut tower. Now I have a few choices either cut the metal piece off the chassis or cut my strut bar to make it fit or buy another one that fits it perfect without any cutting. Also would it be ok if I was to cut that metal piece off my chassis would that affect my strut tower at all? And would it be ok if I cut my strut bar would that also affect the strut bars performance? I have looked at 2.5GTs front and rear strut bar and it fits perfect. Would anyone happen to know exactly what kind he has? He only listed it as ebay strut bar front and rear.

I am assuming the little metal piece attached to your strut tower bar is a little square bracket that is used to put the Hood Prop in. They used this spot since if you switch your hood prop location you can have the hood in its fully extended vertical position to make working on your car easier.

I had the same issue with some of my carbon FHI bars.. Just take some vice grips and grab a hold of the bracket and wiggle left and right. It will break the spot welds and come off. Sand it and paint it so it doesn't start the evil rust cancer.

Some strut bars have the cut out in the metal hoop some do not. Some that have the cut out need to be wedged into place since either the hood prop bracket is bent or poorly welded on or the strut bar hoop is poorly machined.

Oh btw.

A 02-07 GD Sedan rear strut bar will fit in a wagon. Not that this helps you but its just an FYI.
