Hi everybody.
I am new to this site, but not to subaru's. I currently own a 2000 Legacy L wagon, an '04 WRX wagon and an '05 FXT. I had to buy the leg wagon because my wrx spun a bearing and is now just a pretty thing sitting in my driveway. I hadn't driven a legacy at all until i test drove this one, and I absolutely love it. So much smoother and quieter on the highway, makes for a good ride to work. Anyway, I found this site while looking for some parts and info on the legacy ( it has 187k) as it probably has some maintenance due, read a few threads and it seems to be a good community. I am a member of NASIOC and NewEnglandSubarus.com ( same screen name on both) and Im happy to add this one to the list. Thanks in advance for any advice I may get.

Welcome to SLi, we get a few local meets together every so often. We will have a dyno meet soon in the next few weeks once the place gives me a solid date.

Yup, saw that you had one in RI back in april, I can probably get a bunch of the NewEnglandSubaru.com guys to convoy down to the next one.

Thanks for having me here!

welcome fellow Masshole ^^, sucks to hear about the spun bearing on the wrx, I had that happen to me as well to my old motor in my 98GT, swapped motors but just had to do some major repair work to the heads, almost done. PM me sometime if your in the North Shore area and need a hand with anything

Masshole! Whats up? Yeah it sucks, Im picking up an ej22t shortblock next week and starting my rebuild. Going to use forged everything with it. I hoping to use my heads, still need to pull it apart and see what happens from there.

ya was hoping to do a clean rebuild and use my old heads and swap them onto a new shortblock, but the old heads were no good so i went to a online engine shop and bought a jdm ej25D, mostly cuz i needed it as a quick fix, ofcourse im paying for it now with repairs and rebuilding it but its worth it imo, should last me a good while now.

NewEnglandSubarus.com.

Hmmmm.....

More Mass members eh... If you'd like to head out for long drives to meets that's cool, but recently I just found a bunch of Subaru owners on the South Shore that meet up once (and sometimes twice) a month. F1 Boston and Sonic has been some of the meeting spots. Dyno meets as well.

Welcome by the way.
