what will i need to add a rear wiper to my green wagon de bossum. it has a rubber plug there, and i need the wiper for the snow, it's pretty heavy up here, come winter time. :neutral:

SHH! dont mention it to the brighton. it's not the car's fault it was stripped out. :smt004 plus if it's doable, it would be fun to make it work. most of the time, i have seen brightons DO have the wiring for their missing features...just not sure on this one. he's on the lift atm, or i would look

You'll need to make sure you have the wiper stalk on the steering column, otherwise you could go ghetto and wire up a 12v on/off circuit.

You'll need:
wiper stalk
rear wiper motor
rear wiper arm (check out my DIY for a much nicer version)
make sure the rear harness has the connects for the wiper motor

i looked at your diy, very nice indeed. im planning on doing that when i get near a honda dealer. i forget about the stalk. i was thinking of using one of those nifty inductive pickup switches and mounting it in a blank slot with a relay, for kickin' touch switch action :smt004 . stalk would look clean though. the harness for the rear is my biggest concern... of course, logic would dictate that if i had the harness for the rear it would also have the plugs for the stalk.. hmmm :smt017 anyone wanna confirm or deny the existence of the aformentioned (sp? lol) harness?

Don't forget the hose for the washer fluid and washer fluid nozzle(part of the motor assembly). Does anyone know if its attached to the engine bay bottle or is there a tank in the back somewhere?

^^ good point Chuck. From what I see, the washer tank has a 2nd pump in it specifically for the rear wiper. There isn't a 2nd tank.
The washer line runs from the hatch all the way to the engine bay, if you open up the hatch and look where it connects to the body (top hinges) you'll see a rubber flex casing that houses the wire harness and the washer line.

Of course, you could just not worry about that if you are only interested in wiping the glass, not wash n wipe.

Have you checked the FSM? There should be a break down and schematics.

When there's ice and snow you need the wash.. De-icer and such. but its personal preference I guess.

Yup, you're right again. It's been so long since I actually drove my car in the snow. I remember now wishing there was a way to stop the window from getting so messed up from just driving.

is there an online fsm?? i just went and looked and it appears that the washer harness has the second plug going to it, so i might just need to switch out the bottle itself and hook up the other plug to the second sprayer..

It might but everyone will have to get mudflaps cause the spray is from everyone else's car. That's why it's so much worse on the highway...
