I just bought my Legacy and the following are not lighting up at night

-Automatic shifter letters (I know how to remove the armrest, just not sure after that)
-Rear defrost, fog lights, cruise control buttons near the steering wheel (I saw how to remove them but is it easy to replace the bulbs in the switches?)
-All lights above the air controls including the hazard button
-Few gauge cluster bulbs are out (saw the how-to on this, this shouldn't be a issue)

I tried searching for a how-to, but the only thing I found info was on the gauge cluster. I'm not putting any LEDs or crazy colors.. I like the OEM green and plan on just putting OEM color bulbs back in. I assume they are all just regular white bulbs?

HVAC lights being out is common but that's a lot of lights burned out. I'd check the fuses first before digging into the lights.

Ah, great idea.. thanks! The only thing that lights up are the little tiny lights under the air control buttons when they are selected (floor, floor & dash vents, defrost, etc)

You can use radio shack bulbs but they will then be white... the OEM bulbs from the dealer have a little green "condom" on them. If you are a perfectionist... just get the OEM bulbs... i went the radio shack route and have now decided I want everything green again.

Ah, thanks for the link! That is exactly what I was looking for.

White lights get a little too bright for ya?

Not too bright at all... the only one I replaced with a white one was the light that illuminates the picutes on the air control buttons. It is a pleasant soft white but it doesnt match the rest of the hvac controls which have a green color to them... Just preference.
