I just want to ask if anyone has taken a Subaru that originally had a 2.5 in it and put a 2.2 in it. Then took it to the dyno to see if it was running lean or anything.

I have mine running off the 2.5 harness and ecu and it works great but obviously I cant see it from a scientific point of view.

If possible I would also like to know if the 2.2 performs better on its own ecu or on the 2.5 ecu.

I did the opposite, on the 2.2 ECU the 2.5 was running super rich, till I swapped in the 2.5 ECU. So what you said makes sense, running the correct ECU should help it run better.

Yeah mine is not running super rich. It gets good gas mileage and runs really well. I am more worried about going lean. Which car did you run that 2.5 in? I have seen a 2.5 ecu get put in a 95 lsi and the fuel pump did not get signal. The person just ran the 2.5 off the 2.2 ecu.
