Lol, me too. I've had this old girl for nearly 4 years now. I had a BC7 for over 8 until the rust got too bad... Sad day that one.

I'm on DirtyOlBC in NZ (http://www.dirtyolbc.co.nz/community/) and Shale mentioned that a few people here had expressed interest in the DOBC tee shirts, so thought I would have a nosey around.

After you said some SLI peeps were keen on shirts, I thought I would come have a look, only to find I had signed up over a year ago but never posted.

So yup, here now!!

I thought I had better update this. The BF5 and GF8 are now up for sale, as we've updated to a pair of MY05 3.0R Legacy sedans.

First is my partners car. Black 5AT 3.0R, 110,000km on the clock when we bought it. We call it "Gaz".

And my new ride. Legacy 3.0R Spec B 6MT. 152,000km at time of purchase.

Lol, thanks guys. I'll see what I can do about sound clips. They're only bolt-on rear cannons (HKS Silent Hi Power), the rest of the system is stock. Trying to find some STi Genome mufflers for the black car at the mo.

Time for a major update. Love the Spec B. I didn't know they came in 3.0R outside North America.

Does it have DCCD or a R180 rear diff?

Kiwi GT

Definitely no DCCD, unsure about the R180. I'll let you know once the rain stops as we're in the middle of an unusually wet summer.

Ok, long time between updates! No, only R160 in back. Meh.

A lot of personal sh!t went down over the past 6 months. The quick version is that in March my partner of ~8 years and I broke up, and she kept the black BL, and about a month ago I finally sold the BF GT! So I'm left with the silver BL.

It's hitting the track at the end of Sept at the Taupo Motorsport Park (http://www.taupomotorsport.com/), so it got a few upgrades thrown at it. A friend who works at a local Subaru wreckers rang me saying he'd found a brake master cylinder brace. Sold! Then a month or so later, I traded a front facing TD05H compressor cover for a 24mm Tribeca front sway bar. That got fitted up with aftermarket heavy duty endlinks. While wandering around yet another Subaru wrecker, I spotted some Cusco rear suspension lower arm braces and bought them on the spot. They were a bit rough, so got sent down to the local panel shop for a sand blast and repaint. Around the same time I ordered a pair of AVO rear sway bar mount braces out of Australia. Both the arm braces and sway bar mount braces went on. I was about to order a set of braided brake hoses out of the UK (around $400 NZD landed), when I spotted a set of excellent condition used hoses on Trade Me (NZ's eBay). I fitted these a couple of weeks ago, and flushed the brake fluid with Motul DOT 5.1 fluid.

The car had Prova Eifel coilovers and a 20mm Whiteline rear sway bar when I bought it, and with the above round of mods, it drives like a go-kart! This thing is just point and shoot now! I can't wait to see how it goes on the track.

Awww so much waiting!! I would black out those tail lights, but I am unsure of your laws about that lol. Regardless I think it would look good!

I have considered it. The rule here is basically the tail lamps need to be bright enough to be seen from 100m in "normal" darkness, and the stop lamps from 200m. All very subjective... :smt017

Oh yeah, tinting those tails would look nice. I wouldn't go crazy though, just do a light tint. I might suggest tinting only the red portion of your tail lights, keeping the clear untinted. I've heard of a method that utilizes candy red paint and candy black on top of that to provide a translucent, dark cherry red tint, similar to what comes stock on the Japanese 3rd gen sedans. That might look really good.

My custom shop suggested leaving the clear untinted, but since I back in everywhere I don't need the extra light they provide.
