automatic headlight disconnect

I have a 2001 Legacy Gt Limited and it has autmatic headlights and i wanted to get HID's but I want to disconnect them first does anyone know how to disconnect them? They only come on when I put the E brake down.

You MUST disconnect your DRL (Day Time Running Lights)

If this is what you mean by Automatic then its just that easy. ^^^

If your talking about the fact that all subarus can have there headlight switch left in the on possition and you can turn off your car and your headlights turn off with the car then there is no real easy method to turn off this feature. Its no Toyota.
