my CEL is on i scanned it said fuel trim bank 1 does anyone know what that could be? thanks a lot

Its what I had, it's has something to do with the fuel level unit. There's 2 parts subaru suggests you to replace when either one goes. Do you have the code?

need to know if its fuel trim bank 1 lean or rich, could be a vaccum leak to sticking injector

i can smell gas sometimes while driving, i dont know if that will help

I was smelling gas too, BUT as of a week now, since I "changed" rear o2 sensors I have yet to get any CEL, no gas smell and my fuel gauge has been working properly.

Fuel trims are the adjustments the PCM makes to its fuel tables based off of feedback from the O2 sensor. There are at least 2 possible fuel trim codes, lean or rich. As was said, need to know which it was. Should be either a P0171 or P0174.
