S-Style JDM Front Grill

Did anyone ever install this grille on a bd? Im currently waiting for mine to get painted then im going to do the install, but im a little confused on how to exactly mount it as it does not have any clips or anything. Thanks!

looks familiar..... cannot figure out why. Makes me wonder though as it crosses the face lift in 97 which means different grill sizes (I could be wrong)

I have this grille, so does sybir. You have to drill holes for it and use push plugs or grill trim grommet clips to secure it to your frame. If you are concerned you can use long zip ties. Its not a perfect fit but it can be pretty decent.

That grille is the same one found on ebay by the seller C-MOD who is no longer on ebay and now being pushed out by Racing_Ravn

This grille is JUNK! Its a poor over produced fiberglass knock off of the HippoSleek original.

Issues with this grille are:
-The mold has been over used and now its warped so when you mount the grille the bottom section is bowed.
-The sides are suppose to cover a section of the headlight but since quality is so poor the way there trimmed is awful and does not cover/fit properly.
-No mount points. (many members just close the hood and don't secure it. its safe but ghetto)

Blahh for fake over produced crappy knock offs.

But hey its cheap and looks better then OEM.

Yep that's the guy I got mine off, and you are spot on with the description. But it'll do me for the time being and I managed to get mine for $45 delivered to the UK.

I did what huffer and sybir did too, its actually very secure and the gap between the bottom of the grille to the top of the bumper is actually not noticeable at all!

This was suppose to be a hipposleek knock off so the top of the headlight should be covered, but its not... so thats the only downside...

Ive had this grille for almost a year and it was still in perfect condition afterwards, i liked it... but i wanted a change so I went back to the jdm l7 one

i say use duct tape. its....a ....umm.... weight reduction. or the "drilling proper holes and using push rivets" method works too...geeze you people and having "properly fitting parts". :roll: barring duct tape and bailing wire, that's the method i would use :smt023 im using zip ties to hold in my busted factory grill on my sedan... but i'll prolly switch to the plastic push rivets, cuz i have a box full, here at the shop

hahaha yeah, i was extremely disapointed with the quality. The fiberglass is very flimsy, but oh well im gonna try to make it work the best I can.

Mine is fine. I had it mounted with a bug guard and without. 2 winters it went through and still looks pretty good.
I'm back to stock right now, but eventually I'll have it repainted and reinstall it. I got mine for $35 shipped, used.
