Help me search for some ever elusive parts.
I'm looking for a damn Baja Turbo hood. In maroonish like my color. I know they make them (http://cdn.getauto.com/photos/9/23859/1c/4S4BT63C455102514-1c.jpg). I mean jesus are they really that hard to find to buy though?!?!?!?!?! I'd even take a black one, but the maroon is my main priority because I really don't want to repaint.
*Bonus points: Looking for trim for the inside of my car. I can't look at this wood grain anymore! I want to find black trim for the center console, driver, passenger, and both left and right rear control panels (door lock, window control, etc)
Somebody help! I've been looking for a while now...

Turbo Baja's are rare. When they do go to the salvage yards they usually have front end damage so the hoods are damaged. Its very hard to find a turbo hood from a Baja since the production run was limited.
And I am not 100% but gen 3 legacy's only have wood grain. My buddies have a 00 GT, 02 L, 03 OB and all of them have wood grain.

Yeah I was wondering if it would even be possible to get the hood I'm looking for directly from a Subaru dealer. Any thoughts?
I've seen the trim in black before, I know someone on here has it. If I can't find it then I think the Baja trim will fit, they come in like a gun metal color but I would sand it down and paint it.
Baja trim:

looks identical to mine (shape).

First, if your sick of the wood grain, buy a can of paint and take care of it. If you prep the surface correctly i have heard that Plasti-dip holds up very well (black).
Second, yes, I'm pretty sure you can buy a turbo BAJA good from subaru or other body part manufacturers.
I was able to find it on https://www.1stsubaruparts.com pretty easily.

Hmmm thank you. I'll keep that in mind. I may go to junkyards and start looking haha

The interior may be easier to find then the hood at a junk yard. Honestly just sand down the wood grain and paint it. its cheap fast and easy. Why waste your time and gas looking for parts that are most likely not there.

I dunno I just want something factory that matches, like I want either the really dark grey that's almost black or the light grey. I guess Lowes could do a color match on it...

no, my car (02 L has flat black trim)
and you can get the hood through subaru...but it'll cost ya. im in the same boat. been looking for a while, and i work at a shop. our body guy cant even find one. keep an eye on nasioc in the leggy section. seen a few there. or try this website: http://www.jdmplace.com/ProductList.asp?Cat=Body+Parts
copy paste the part number and email him for prices. hes just over the canadian border, so u can roadtrip :smt028 , or pay extreme shipping costs. but he gets lots of b4 hoods (which have the scoops).
Good Luck!!

Phil's a rip off. I ve bought plenty and he never gives fair prices. There are probably local jdm imports who can order it for you when their next shipment arrives.

Hey Chuck, how did you find the parts numbers for the hood? I know about subarugenuineparts.com and when I look there are never any part numbers :-? Is that the complete hood including the scoop and mesh?
Also do you have a parts catalog or something?

Offical Legacy Part # thread on NASIOC
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=938180
includes p/n for jdm hood.
It doesn't hurt to befriend the parts guys when you can get a chance.
Also whats the big deal. Go get the hood painted at a body shop for $200 or less. Geez your spending time trying to hunt down a color match hood that will never look proper no mater what. UV damage to your paint discolors and fades . so when you put the hood on it will never match...

Found this nifty site that does custom vinyl work. Found the brushed aluminum finish for the baja:
http://www.rvinyl.com/dashkits/subaru/baja_2003.htm
They can custom make them for your vehicle in whatever color you want for $60. Definitely going to either get the baja or a custom one in whatever color I want.
Just a little update.
