Wheel guys... Need some options on some Flush Wheels OutBack

Need some real help on deciding what to go with on my 01 Outback, Its 2 tone Black on the Champaigne lower and might in the future just go all black. But its really a Lip style Wheels VS a Concave Sunken wheel. Would like to hear you guys thoughts!

18x9 +35 offset

9.5 on the LEFT and 8.5 on the RIGHT, I would go 9.5 All Around!

Me personally, I would go with the flush/no lip ones. I think they flow better.

Yeah its a tough one... i mean i know the 9 wide will fit but not sure if 9.5 will rub on the struts with a high offset i mean worse case i could run spacers like 5-10mm.

Here she is about to drive her off the lot! Wheel color is really hard to figure out! She is getting coilovers and there will be no wheel gap at all!

I don't know how you are going to get 18x9 and 18x9.5 wheels to fit, since I have a hell of a time with my 17x8 +35 wheels and coilovers, and those sit about as flush as you can get. Planning on rolling and pulling the fenders? Super skinny tires? Crazy camber? IMHO, mesh wheels with a lip look pretty sick on Leggy's, check out www.wheeldude.com (http://www.wheeldude.com) and look in the gallery section for the Legacy's, you'll see what I mean. No lip looks better on 350/370z's, BMW's, Infiniti's, etc., basically cars that already come with concave no lip type wheels.

Buy coilovers, roll, pull, stretch and fit.

That's so cwazy! On a wagon no less too, going to be easier on a sedan. Oh well, now that I know that those will fit, I might have to pick up some new wheels after I get my fenders rolled and pulled LOL!!!! :smt005

Yeah on a wagon i was surprised... Since i have a Outback the fenders front and rear are actually flared out more then a legacy so i might just have to do a minor roll. Pretty stoked on this but figuring out what i want to do is going to be hard.
i think am leaning towards a 18x9 +35 spec of wheels since 9.5 might actually be too much fender work for me to handle! Who knows! I just think if i go black wheels it might be too much black/murdered out.

Yeah, sold it for $8k without wheels or jdm headlights... Wheels are sold for 1400 and headlights sold for 800. Picked up a sweet Outback, posted up a new Member thread on it.

Silver with polished lip in 9 hands down. You wont be able to see the detail if you get black...

Definitely not black wheels. They're the worst.

Also, I got your PM and didn't get a chance to look at the car over the weekend. So I don't know how much more clearance there is on the inside. But fitting either on the outside shouldn't be a problem. I'll try to look at the car if I can get home before it gets dark sometime this week.

around here its actually pretty old black/polished lip, but price was right only paid 175 for set of 18's in really good condition. will repaint when i decide what color i want, but without a lip on a black car its not that bad

BBS LM reps look good on the legacy. but who makes the wheel in your 2nd pic with the concave? those look interesting,

the only reason i wouldnt get concave wheels is that they make your brakes look much smaller in comparison to lipped wheels

Murdered out is played out.
Black with polished lip is played out.
Silver is the choice.

Don't think the concave set will suit. If you really wanted concave, I suggest 552 or Grids.

Also going for the LM replicas. Since it is black, I'd do the silver/polished lip. Too much black otherwise.

Well not sure... Thinking of going with the 18x9 polished and doing a light gold on the insides of the center kind of like my stock Outback wheels are. Its just hard to throw out there when my car is 2 toned.

Polished or brushed/"bare" aluminum looks pretty nice with a painted lip or painted accents when done up right. Just not in bright red or some other gaudy color when your car is a completely opposite color (excluding gold though). It seems to be a growing trend from what I have seen, mostly its chromed centers with painted black lips or the entire barrel is painted with the center polished or brushed.
