So looking to do something different yet again for my Outback... Was thinking of getting a 08/09 impreza/STI hood, cut out a large section of hood, cut a slightly smaller section out on my stock 00-04 hood, tig weld the overlaid metal from the 08/09 impreza/STI hood onto my hood then light coat of bondo to smooth out of the seam of welds. Repaint and BAMMMM! Anyone good with photoshop to give a idea look of this on a BE/BH? Might be ugly, Might not... Its a hit or miss!

If you look at the hood lines on both of the vehicles, it actually does look fitting.

Hood did have a dent it in so i got the hood for $50. Well since i can't find a JOB ANYWHERE... got some time today to start prep for the install once i get a JOB that i can afford a MIG Welder to weld it up to my stock hood, then prep for paint and get her finished. So roughly need $300 worth to finish it. Hopefully soon i will have a JOB, its rough!

:smt024 Its seriously a Joke these days... Applied over 60+ places doing anything with decent $10+/hr if i have to start from the bottom again the last month, only 2 interviews/herd from any places i applied and both were well we had over 100+ applications and a good 50 people to interview... Its a Joke! You have to know someone these days to get in anywhere, i swear!

Oh i know. Thats the only reason I got my job. But i am not getting enough hours to make it worth it. Looking to pick up some hours at fedex. hoping that will go through.

So the never ones aren't aluminum like the GD chassis?

Correct, you can attempt to find a JDM hood which someone mentioned they are in fact aluminum,
as 06-07 hoods I guess were aliminum but changed back to steel for the 08+ years. Works perfect for me since my hood is steel too.
