Cheapest DIY paint job for doors?

Had to replace 2 doors on my white wagon and the only ones available at the time were green...
I'm looking to do some stripping (ideal 1st choice) or sanding then just go ghetto and spray paint or roll it on, because
my budget is severely limited. I have a garage but no filter system or atmosphere/humidity control.
What are my options with stripper chemicals or whatever and paint selection?
Rustoleum would be good? And I would need some different can tips if I go with the spray option, right?

Talk to your local paint shops if they can color match you some spray bombs. The paint is much better than that of the cheap stuff. They basically put auto paint in a spray can that you shake and spray. Best advise I can give is sand off the top coat with sand paper than rinse with water and rag. Than go over it again with with a degreaser and clean rag. Alcohol will work too.

+1 for spray bombs. Here we've got NAPA Colormaxx. It costs about 28.00 for a colormatched spraybomb in a one stage, or about 25.00 for a two stage (then you need the clearcoat too) I'd do 2 stage if I was painting again, single stage didn't work well at all. Call around and see if they can mix based on your paint code and put it in a bomb. Then your car will look pretty natural from far away.

grap a paintball gun and fire away. go wild with thee custom paint job lol. but in all seriousness i agree with everyone else, get a spray bomb that matches your color code that way there is only slight difference between the doors and the rest of the car

or what you CAN do is.. get some color mixed up for you if you want to do 2 stage.

Get the base color mixed and buy some SPI clear coat:

Then use a PREVAL spray can to spray the base and the clear on. I've heard they work REALLY good. Look into it.. may be the cheapest option, and will save you tons of money over buying $25/can napa paint matched pre-packaged cans.

Best part about the preval sprayer is they work great for primer / base / clear as far as i've heard. Do some research on it.. i think you will decide to go that way if you want to can paint it.
