I love how the article says:
They consider it a point of pride to be able drive Chrysler products with more than 200,000 miles on them.
A chrysler with over 200,000 miles on it... I didn't know that was possible
Now how many Subaru owners go around thinking they are so great because they have over 200,000 miles.

Cars with over 200k miles on them aren't uncommon around here. Helps that we don't have rust problems.
My old Accord had 286k miles on it when I sold it. Still ran like a top. Only issues it had was that the exhaust needed replaced and the fast idle cam on the carb was worn down so you had to keep your foot on the gas to keep the idle up when it was cold. Even the A/C worked after a recharge.

A friend of mine that I work with has a 93 Legacy wagon that just rolled over to 299,000 miles and still runs strong. His brother had a nearly identical one that had at least 250k+ miles before he scraped it. With the record of Subaru 2.2s Ill be able to keep my 98 Legacy for a while, its only got 77k miles on it haha

AND hes from NH. How he got his car to not rust apart first is beyond me! LOL. Must have been garaged for its entire life!

Pretty sure I read somewhere that a guy drove his Subaru about 1.3 million miles before and only rebuilt the engine once.

if i get my subaru working again, it will be over 200k in one winter. My integra is already over the 200k mark.
