whats the widest wheel i can get that has a 35 offset

im looking at a set of varrstoen wheels that are 18x8 with 35 off set and 5x114.3 will they fit? and if so could i go wider like to a 18x9?

First if you have stock hubs the bolt pattern is 5x100, 18x8 with an offset of 35 will make you look like a dubber, which is fine if you want to roll your fenders and have suspension to keep the fenders off the tires. Your hubs will wear out quicker as well.

thats what i thought but i wasn't sure, i really just want to look of volk TE37 but i cant afford them and doesnt the sti use 5x114.3 bolt pattern? if so i would love to convert them to run bigger breaks and then hopefully use that

Yes the 05+ sti runs a 5x114.3 hub. So if you want to run that then you'll have to convert your hubs, brakes. Its fairly involved. Your ABS system may need reworking or you could just remove it.

I run 17x8 with a +35 offset lowered on coilovers with 225/45/17 rubber. No rubbing with a little less than a finger width of space between the fender and tire. I wouldn't go any wider than a 225 though, even if you get 18x8 +35 wheels. If you want the Volk TE37 look, also check out www.wheeldude.com (http://www.wheeldude.com) and look at the Rota Grid wheels, they come in Subaru fitments and offsets at a really decent price. Look at my build thread. I have 18x9+35 on my BH. They fit, but you have to roll fenders which shouldn't be a problem if you're trying to fit the largest you can. Also you need to pick the right tire size other wise the tire will be hitting everything. But it's easy.

idealy i would like to run 17x9 would that have the same problems?

If you run an offset the same and a tire with the same outer diameter, it will be pretty close to the same package.

Do it!!! 18x9 +35 is perfect with a Sedan!
