On the rear fender there is a STI badge. Was on there when I got it. Is there a way to tell if it is or isn't?

There isn't any other markings refering to "STI" on the car. Do you guys reckon its just a add on from Japan?

Anyone can buy a Sti badge and put it on there. I would just call your local Subaru dealer and give them the vin #. That is the best way to tell.

Unless your model code is BL9F4GH or BP9F5GH, it's not an STI Version.

Or, just see how many pink items are on the car. Rumor has it, if you have 40 pink bits you have an STi.

Just kidding. VIN# is the only reliable way.

Close. '02 and '08 only. The next closest thing are the TbS, or Tuned by STI Legacy. However, they're not close to the real thing. As I've stated before, my stock '02 S401 beat down my friend's lightly modded '05 TbS (we even switched cars - same result).
