This is on the EJ22T ECU. A standalone EMS is coming soon because I wasn't too happy with these results. Not displeased, but not happy either. A good tune will really wake this car up.

Not too much interest I guess. I bought a standalone EMS yesterday, looking forward to getting this car tuned and making more power.

Sounds real good when the turbo kicks in. How much max HP can you get with a bigger turbo with your setup?

Thats a pretty open-ended question, I could put a TD05-18G on it and try to push 18 psi, shooting for 380-ish whp but the block probably wouldn't last very long. The low HP numbers aren't caused by the turbo, that VF8 is actually comparable to if not slightly larger than a WRX TD04. Its my rough tune that is robbing me of power, that and the fact that I'm not pushing a ton of boost. With a solid tune and maybe a couple more PSI I should be able to get 230 whp and 250 ft/lbs of torque, which would be enough to lay waste to most lightly modded WRXs and make for a fun DD.

your running ej22t internals in an ej25 block right? i cant remember off hand..lol

Yeah its EJ22T crank and rods with EJ25 flat top pistons in an EJ25D block.

nice pull... did they bother putting a fan for your intercooler...

thats what i thought. Very cool man. i think i'll be doing pretty much the same build.. I was going to use a 2.2 bottom end but since i have an old 2.5 on hand, i prob. just use that...

Yeah the majority of the noise you hear is from the fan, not the dyno or even the car, it was a big guy.

I'm looking forward to it also, a little nervous, got a lot of work to do before its ready to go in. But the main step is complete, just buying it!
