so today i was coming home from school this afternoon, just like every day, and got home to run in and get some stuff before i went to work. i left my car running and came back out and saw coolant everywhere so i imedeatly stoped the car and popped the hood and coolant was pushing its way out of the overflow canaster cap. so i was leting it cool down and all of a suden it rushed back into the radiator. also durring all of this my temp gauge never went above normal opperating temp.

so i was wondering if it could have been a blockage that held it up or if something else could be the problem. i will be having the coolant flushed if everyone thinks that will fix the problem.

Some things to check:

1- thermostat

2- Radiator

3- Radiator cap

not exactly in that order. Also Waterpump. Thats what I'm leaning towards. Fill it back up, and make sure you burp it 1st. Start it, and let it run for awhile. Check to make sure you fan comes on (as some have had bad relay issues) before taking it for a test drive. Park it, let it col down with a piece of cardboard under it. See if it leaks, and get back to us.

i took the thermostat off and it was stuck so i replaced it and put in new fluid. hopefully that will fix the problem.

Unless it was stuck open, don't trust the "let's see if I can push it open with my thumbs" trick. I did the same thing just this week, and after putting it in some hot water, it opened right up...
