lighted ignition/parking light question

Did some searching on here and didnt find anything...

Is there any place to buy a lighted ignition ring for a BE? Or a DIY? Did some googling for my model too and came up with nothing.

Also...im going to wire some LED strips into the 12v parking light wire, anybody have a wire diagram of the parking light or have done this before?

Um... pretty sure your car is supposed to already have that, but green in color. Maybe the light burnt out. Anyway here is a link that that picture came from, it includes a number for the light in there:

Just went out and did a double check...solid plastic piece there...no light at all.

I have 01GT limited and no fancy lighted ring here.
Solid black plastic.

My 2000 with cold weather package does not (black rubber only)
My 2002 5 speed has lighted green ring... and no antenna :grin:

they started making them in 02+ best bet is finding one in a junk yard or from a wrecked car iirc bugeyes had them too and im sure they are the same might help to broaden your search

'Buru has an 03... so they still must have not put them in all of their cars even after 02. Is it possible that they only put them in Leggy GT's?

Do people really use a lighted ignition ring? Id be more interested in better illuminated cruise controls.
