...to Dual piston calipers in the front, possibly changing to 15" wheels in the future
I think the part is 26291AA042/AA052

I think most people go with used,
and looking up those part numbers don't really help since the description for them is so vague.
Why not order loaded calipers and brackets online and get the rotors locally? You'd save a few $$$ that way.

Whoa, that was fast
Well, the part number was just for reference in case anyone else wanted to look it up somewhere...
I *could* order them loaded, yes, but I need to see if they will work on my setup

You haven't listed your setup, but 2-pots from the 90s fit under 15" or bigger wheels. As long as you get a complete caliper, bracket, rotor and pad setup, it will bolt on. All 90-07 Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Outback front brakes are a direct bolt-in swap. You could even go crazy and buy STI front Brembos and bolt those on (rears need more work & parts).

Any front caliper from a 1995-99 GT or Outback will fit under a 15" wheel. Buy a loaded set, plug n play.

It's not in my profile? I thought that was the point of typing all that out, oh well
But I drive a 94 Legacy L Wagon 4WD, Postal edition with 14" wheels (Bad choice for trying to find 6/8 ply tires!)
Good to know about the swapability though thanks guys and if you could recommend a set of steel brake hoses, that'd
be great too

Don't know about the brake lines, but a lot of people fill out the "signature" portion of their profile with their car.

Got it.
So could anyone recommend a vendor for said parts?
I see some on eBay, but I don't know about trusting that kind of thing for those parts
Also, what is the difference btw semi-loaded and loaded calipers?
thanks guys

Semi loaded are just calipers with caliper brackets.
Loaded are calipers w/ brackets & pads.
When I do brake "upgrades" from later model Subaru's, I always buy the loaded calipers. It's easier to retrofit, no need to mess with a mishmash of parts.

Think I found what I need from O'Reilly's. Thanks

So are Outback fronts 2 pot ?
Yes they are, with a 10.7" rotor. They will fit under 15" and bigger rims.
If you get the brackets and rotors from a BE GT, you will get an 11.4" rotor, but you need 16" rims for fit.
