94-99 Black or Gray dash

Can one explain since I cannot find any information on that. Witch year and trim level specifically came with the black dash/interior instead of the dated gray dash/interior?

I have an 97 outback wagon with the gray int. and I have a 98 gt wagon with the black interior. The black interior seems to be really rare!

Interesting.. I would also like to know this.

These are the following models that I've seen/driven and none are black dash. Not sure if CDM is an issue since most of BD/K/G chassis here are branded with US factory stickers..

97 BD GT
97 BD L

98 BG Outback
99 BG Outback

So.. anyone care to shed some light on this topic?

Uhhh my 99 bd looks black, but I think it is known as ebony.

My 98 L's dash was black - at least way closer to black than my 95 L. Can't figure out if it's maybe just faded but the 95 is more like brown...

My 98 GT-L is black. But the leather seats are like a dark grey

my 98 bd gt has black dash and black interior/leather. only the headliner is grey

My 97 BD GT had a dark grey dash/door panels but my '98 BK L has black. Only noticeable when you mix and match the parts. Which I did.

ive noticed that the earlier (95-96 or whatever) grey dash usually ends up looking purple after it fades a bit. ive seen lots of them that look extremely purple
