I am looking into a possible rear LSD for my 97 2.5 GT 5 speed manual. Before I continue, I wanted to know about the factory LSDs found on some outbacks.
If I am not mistaken, the final drive on my car is 4.11
The final drive on a manual outback is 3.9
The final drive on an auto outback is 4.11
If this is correct, is it possible to put a rear LSD from an outback into my car?
Also what year outback diffs fit?

Yep, its possible, but just make sure the LSD is the right kind for your purpose. Any diff from 95-99 will fit. Also impreza diffs will fit too, just not the driveshaft due to the length.

My 97 Outback has a 4.11 diff according to FSM that I acquired.

StarGSR is correct. Gen 2 USDM legacies never came with LSD. Gen 3 Outback w/ All Weather Package comes with a LSD but I am not sure about the Final Drive.
Search "KAG"s posts he has a nice write up about LSD and swapping carriers.

What would be the best way to tell if an outback had the all weather package?

Giving the VIN to a dealer.
so there isn't a notation for it in the VIN or the plate in the engine bay?

FYI.....
Of that list, I saw a couple of mistakes:
Only 91 Legacy Turbos got LSD rears "for sure" from the factory (it was an option 92-94),
and the SVX has a R160 (I know since I used the LSD from one)
Handy list, though.
