What should I do?

So a guy in town just wrecked his 07 WRX. He is selling the whole thing for about $2900 I heard.The front end is smashed from what I have heard, but the motor should be good. So I thought of a few things as you can see in the poll. I could try and swap as much as possible over (motor, tranny, suspension, interior, brakes, and whatever else would fit), or I could just swap a few things, namely the transmission, and sell all the rest. Im not sure what all could be swapped over, and I have no idea what parts for this go for so idk how much I could recover from parting out the rest.

its probably best if you don't do something if you don't know what you are getting into, and by the sounds of that post you just made it sounds like you don't know too much about it, so I say don't buy it.
Or you could do some research, find out what parts you can swap and how to swap them, and find out how much parts are going for, and then buy it, but like I said I would not buy it before you know these things.

I did plan on getting more details on it and seeing what I could do with it. Just thought i would see what everyone thinks and if you guys had any idea of what all I could do with it

You need to see it in person before you make any decisions.

If any part of the front end got pushed into the timing covers, it destroyed the engine. If the accident was serious enough to total the car, which it sounds like it was, it almost certainly damaged the front of the car enough to damage the engine, which is probably part of the reason it was totaled. If it pushed anything into the engine with a lot of force, it may have pushed everything back, which may have also damaged the transmission.

If it runs and can move under it's own power, buy it. If not, don't. It sounds like you don't have a huge amount of Subaru mechanical experience so something that might be easy for someone else could cause you huge headaches.
