If it is a natural flame thrower it would be awesome, but putting a spark plug in would be really lame!

very lame, also illegal, plus it will melt your bumper.

unless your subaru is an old school rat rod, dont do it, if it is, sure.

cmon, everyones hating...they look great on a 30 something plymouth, or old studebaker...etc

however, theres two ways to do this, dumbasses will put in a kit that robs the engine of spark, and passes unburnt fuel thru the cylinder into the exhaust, and then sparks it to burn...damaging both the cylinders, cats, etc etc.

OR

smart oldschool hot rodders will put a seperate, low pressure tank, pump, and valve. and a completely seperate ignition "buzz box"

so the motor doesnt even miss a beat, and nothing, except maybe the guy behind the car, is damaged.

unless your ratting out a subaru, dont do it.

has anyone ratted out a subaru? any PS gurus wanna go on that one, might be cool...

This is how it's done - fuel overrun on throttle off...

i agree, flamethrower only belongs on old school chevys or fords.

i have to disagree. my car is slow and awesome, and i want it to breath fire. then my car would be all like "bug off! i got fire farts!" imo it would be killer on a stock vehicle. my car give's non subarus dirty looks anyway may as well have the ability to set them on fire :angryfire: . im jes sayin  plus in a post apocalyptic zombie ridden future, it could come in handy. :smt070

he has a point...

if you do it, just dont buy the cheap kit and run gas thru your engine by killing spark to cylinder or whatever.

You have to throw colored flames like fast and furious 2!

no no man, it's 2fast 2furious (would that be fast and furious 4 :smt017 ?) whatever, fire's dope :smt035 :smt023 to me its a no brainer, fire = awesome, subarus = awesome. typically fire in your car = fail, but in this instance, it's totally doable. mathematically that works out to F1r3+(S008) = F1r3(S008)+AwS0m3x100%, conversely in this instance, it DOES not = FL@m1ng+D3ath = fail(cubed)

the only way i see this failing is by adding a large wing or something and throwing the fire to awesome to soob ratio out of balance, resulting in some kind of rice reaction, leading to the inevitable mockery of fellow soob owners. :blob6:

All you have to do is have an open downpipe, and enrich your tip-in injection to dump fuel when you hit the gas off idle. Trust me, there's fireballs.

lol if i remember right that car is a turbo 240sx conversion, that was running rich and catless :smt017 ? in....import tuner? one of the import mags, lol. he got the flame part right, but he failed to add burning his car off into the equation, lol  common noob mistake, to forget fire + plastic =
