well, I've been slacking since I joined the forum with some pics/story of the leggy so here goes:
Story-
Totalled my 05 2.5RS that I was 90% done with Sti Swap before (50 yr. old woman in old forester's fault) :( and picked this up last Jan. Completely bone stock with 98k miles, 5sp, 1 previous owner, and in great condition. Since then I've put quite a bit of cash into upgrading parts that were going out and other maint. along with a few tasteful mods. I'll try to keep ugdating when things get done :)
Nov. 18-got a new knock sensor installed along with a new speed sensor; the knock sensor cel is no longer, but my speedo still doesn't work, leading me to try the last sensor... if that doesn't work then its not going to be a fun story
Jan. 31-oh man, its been a while since I've updated this posting, but.... got my 04 wrx kyb gr2 struts with prodrive springs off a bugeye. I stickerbombed by stereo dash trim pieces (gonna do all the window switches and vent trims once i get time), I bought 99gtlimited's lightbar and 4 hella 500's (2 fog and 2 driving) which will be mounted asap. I'm also buying some 04 gold bbs off a friend next week and those will go on after winter! I also installed a rallitek shifter bushing and a kartbout knuckle knob and I can tell a difference of night and day in my shifting!
Feb. 28-engine seized going to work on the highway! very little-no oil in in the engine... must have leaked out/burnt up, regardless the engine completely welded itself together and couldn't be rebuilt. Looked all around at price options and swaps and eventually with time/money I chose a 95 ej22 with 58k on it! Its in the process of being swapped, been 3 weeks without my car so hopefully it will be done in the next few days. Since my car's been down I've purchased: new timing belt+water pump, jdm projectors, 6000k HID kit, black muteki open lugs, and fabbed my lightbar to the open space in the center of my bumper. Basically I've decided to mod the hell out of the car and fix all the broken little things while the engine is going in. I'll have pics up soon with the hellas mounted and the lights and everything done!
Dec. 1- well its been almost 9 months since I've posted(doesnt mean I haven't been lurking:)) New engine transplant is going well, my tranny took a crap so I swapped it with a 98 2.5rs tranny. Feels soooo much better! got my hellas installed and mounted on my lightbar through my grill(before it was located on bottom part of bumper and lost two lights because it was way too low). integrated my hella switches by my e-brake and just updated a couple things, pics at bottom of page.
