Okay well enough reading and asking around on rear window lengths... looks like this should be a exact direct fit even though its not for the BE body style as the rear window didn't change in shape. Not a 100% sure it will be direct bolt on/3m Double Taped but pretty sure minor minor modding would be needed if it is not. They do come in a cheaper Fiberglass one too.

If only my AOL account would go back that long ago of emails dang it. That hood is a D model hood anyway. Your headlights and grille wont fit if you got that. And your bumper would line up funny.

Matty2Hotty
11-30-2010, 03:25 AM
Correct, you got me before my edit. Noticed the thickness of the lower grill to headlight area of the hood confirms it is a D model. Great for you since you have a D Project or others. They do have the other models but in a ugly chargespeed style vented carbon hood only. Not my cup of tea!

Forgive my newbness, but what you mean that they are D Model styles? I only ask because i would really like to upgrade the headlights in my 04 Legacy. BUt dont want to buy something that wont work.

Thanks.
D Model is a style that later 3rd gens had in Japan but we never got in the US. The headlights are shaped slightly different. Look through this thread https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=19171
That car has D-model lights and there is a pic on the first page towards the bottom to show how they fit.

Please don't install HID in the 3rd gen US headlights, you will blind everyone with the housing style. There are HID JDM headlights that fit just like the US styles, D Model isn't the only HID headlights if that's what your looking into.

So there can only be 40 attachments in a thread?? Can this be changed, is there a reason why it is limited?
I wonder how long it will be before the qouta is met in the "what have you done to your car today?" thread

Majority of members don't use the board to upload photo's.. they use image hosters.. I've told yamazaki about imageshack.. hes just lazy sometimes..

I doubt that thread will ever have that issue... Its rare someone uploads to the board..
