i got a 92 legacy and i cant get the gas guage to work. if anyone know any tips or tricks let me know please

its most likely your Fuel Sending Unit which is part of the fuel pump system. This sits in your gas tank and can be accessed just behind your rear seats on the passenger side.

Other then that your gauge may be wonky.

what about the refuel light? my gauge works fine, but the warning light doesn't show up. i once went empty and had to push hoping the light would show up.

1) Check that your bulb is working. or just replace it for peace of mind.
2) Test the sending unit.. Pull the unit out and check the connection with a multi meter. When the floating leveler reaches a certain point it should send a signal to turn on your gas light.

No just the Gauge Cluster.
You MUST remove the steering column cover. 4 screws ... If you don't you will rip the vinyl on your dash when you pull out the cluster.
